SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop, implement and monitor property and grounds management systems for the sustainable efficiency of all the group offices/compounds island wide.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Ensures that all Hawkeye’s premises and assets are adequately.
Ensures that the office buildings at all locations are properly outfitted with the necessary equipment and signs.
Ensures that the environment that is clean and aesthetically set up.
Coordinates and manages the parking arrangements for staff.
Negotiates and recommends the terms and conditions of contracts related to the facilities portfolio (including maintenance and other service contracts)
Monitors and evaluates the performance of these service providers.
Manages maintenance, repair and refurbishment of the organization’s physical property including buildings, furniture, fixtures and equipment (except computers and other information technology equipment) at all Hawkeye’s locations islandwide.
Recommends the purchase of new furniture, fixtures and equipment for the organization.
Liaises with department heads regarding the provision of office space, furniture and equipment for staff.
Develops, implements and coordinates the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Programme for the group in conjunction with the Human Resource Department and Branch Managers.
Supervises the ancillary staff in their daily functions.
Advises executive management of organizational risks associated with the operations of the department and proposes viable measures to minimize or eliminate these risks.
Institutes the ‘Plan, Do, Check, Act’ (PDCA) cycle in the completion Ongoing of tasks, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
Adheres to the requirements of the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
Sonce and coordinates external service teams.
Develop and implement environmental programs
Arrange fire drills at each office location.
Co-ordinate and ensure adequate training of safety wardens
Abide by, review and make recommendation for the Disaster Preparedness Plan and Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Professional certificates to include Supervisory Management, would be assets.
Atleast three (3) years’ experience in facilities management.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Required to work both within and outside of the office environment.
Being on call outside of regular working hours, public holidays, during and after natural disasters [flexibility with respect to working hours]
Reliable motor vehicle is essential for islandwide travel to branch offices.
